Neon Nights

To uplift the image of the 2019 HK Fashion Week (Spring/Summer) a concept titled Neon Nights was developed, by mixing fashion industry latest colour trends into elements of retro Hong Kong nighttime neon street scenes. Three areas were given by the organizer to enhance this trade fair into a marketing show. First, a welcome installation at the venue main entrance, followed by the exhibition hall main entry. Then inside the hall, a 300 m2 multi-functional communal space was created for fashion shows, seminars and informal meetings activities etc.

Petite Foret

Petite Foret means little forest. This is a bold spatial art attempt to bring a jungle indoors. This immersive space design is not only a small jungle that only belongs to you and me, but also a challenge to the imagination and a confession to nature. The small forest is not a dilapidated virgin jungle, nor a fantasy paradise. It is a paradise that awakens everyone's peaceful heart. It is also an unforgettable wedding and art exhibition for the newlyweds, calling for a return to nature and sealing nature in the hearts of every participant.

F1 Trophy Design

The Singapore Airlines iconic bird graphic is transformed into a 3D sculptural art piece, creating the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix Trophy. Smooth clean curves mimic the beauty and elegance synonymous with modern F1 cars. Three embossed gold stripes on each wing represent speed, power and direction. The 24K gold-plated trophy, milled from solid aircraft-grade aluminium blocks and hand-polished, is fused with a contrasting semi-matt black base with seven 'rings' paying tribute to the longevity of the world’s first F1 Night race. An additional ring added for every subsequent year.

For Georges Rousse

The keywords of designer Hasong Lee's work are Symbolism, Formativeness, Sense Of Space, Architecture, and Visuality. She recently thought that the trophy was the best fit for all of this. Trophy enables as many people as possible to celebrate competition or figure or date and symbolize. Through this, she intends to escape the fixed limitations of the existing trophies, and to design the trophies as her formative objects with more diverse stories and new memorials and symbolism. LEE actively used Optical illusion, Anamorphosis, and Metalworking techniques in this project.
